An ellipse 189 by 156 metres: three storeys of eighty arches under a windowed attic. On the south side the outer ring has fallen, leaving the second ring standing behind it, and the arena floor is open to the hypogeum beneath.
Modelled from simple shapes at roughly its true size, and rendered in clay. The map draws the rest the one way it draws everything: the ground under Rome, as contour lines coloured by height, with its water and its names.
